The I.L.A.A. Flight Championship
and part 2 of the International Mary Rose Warbow Trophy
July 2009;
registration closes 16.00 hrs, first arrows 16.30 hrs
Open to
all
bow weights and
all
arrows.
The I.L.A.A. Flight Championship will be shot in two ends of three
arrows each.
All
participating bows will be weighed at 18" and by the
participant at
their full draw-length.
The first three scoring arrows will be inspected as well as
measured.
Other arrows will be measured for distance.
Two bows may be used.
The
I.L.A.A. Flight Championship is for I.L.A.A. Medals.
These will be awarded at the end of the Shoot the following day.

The Mary Rose
Warbow Trophy - the King's Target Shoot,

registration closes 11.15 hrs, first arrows 11.30 hrs
The
King's Target stands at 220 yards and is scored within 22".
If
there is no score the target is brought back in 20 yard increments.
The
scoring area is then reduced by 2" increments, until it stands at 40 yards for
4".
The
King's Target is shot in ends of three arrows. The
first scored hit wins.

The Standard
Arrow, part 3 of the
International Mary Rose Warbow Trophy
Open to
all
bow weights.
All
participating bows will be weighed at 18" and by the participant at
their full draw-length.
The Standard Arrow will be shot in two ends of two arrows each.
Arrows: parallel shaft or bobtailed (to 11/32"); 800 grain; 31.5 " long; 3/8" thick; fletch 6" long; 3/4"
high.
The first three scoring arrows will be inspected as well as
measured.
Other arrows will be measured for distance.
Two bows may be used.
Certificates will be awarded at the end of the shoot at the Marks
the following day.
For
those in the International Mary Rose Warbow Trophy competition, this
is part 3.
The Military
Arrow, part 4 of the
International Mary Rose Warbow Trophy
Open to bow
all
weights.
All
participating bows will be weighed at 18" and by the participant at
their full draw-length.
The Military Arrow will be shot in two ends of two arrows each.
Arrows: parallel shaft or bobtailed (to 3/8"); 1200 grain; 31.5 " long; 1/2" thick; fletch min 7.5", max
8.5" long; 3/4" high.
The first three scoring arrows will be inspected as well as
measured.
Other arrows will be measured for distance.
Two bows may be used.
Certificates will be awarded at the end of the shoot at the Marks
the following day.

4.
The next day Sunday, International Mary Rose Warbow Trophy
registration
closes 10.15 hrs, first arrows 10.30 hrs
The Shoot at the
Marks, part 5 of the
International Mary Rose Warbow Trophy

bow weights
and
all
arrows.
Those competing in the International Mary Rose Warbow Trophy competition
are be
separately scored
from
the general shoot.
They
will however also be eligible for the normal prizes for Shooting at
the Marks.
For
those in the International Mary Rose Warbow Trophy competition, this
is part
5.
The Speed Shoot,
part 6 of the International
Mary Rose Warbow Trophy
Open to
all
bow weights
and
all
arrows.
Those in the International Mary Rose Warbow Trophy competition will be
separately scored
from
the general shoot.
They
will however also be eligible for the normal prizes for Shooting at
Speed.
For
those in the International Mary Rose Warbow Trophy competition, this
is part
6.
The Shot in the
Cloth of Gold; the distance shot in four volleys,
part
7.
Open to
all
bow weights and
all
arrows.
Those in the International Mary Rose Warbow Trophy competition will be
separately scored
from
the general shoot.
They
will however also be eligible for the normal prizes for Shooting in
the Cloth of Gold.
For
those in the International Mary Rose Warbow Trophy competition, this
is part
7
(and the final part).
The winner of
this series of competitions will have passed the true test of the Medieval Array
Master:
selecting the
full range of skills with
the Warbow, for
victory in an all-round battle scenario.
All data on bow
weight, length, wood type, section and distance shot per arrow
category
will be
independently witnessed and be submitted; to the International
Longbow Archers Association and to the Mary Rose Trust.
